Hoover Met Complex General Info

Admission/Tickets
All ticket prices are set by rightsholders for all Hoover Met Complex events.

Alcohol
There shall be no consumption of alcohol at the Hoover Met Complex by minors or as otherwise prohibited by law. 

Animals/Pets
No pets are allowed in the Finley Center, Hoover Met Stadium, Baseball Complex, Multipurpose Complex, Tennis Center or Explore Playground and Splash Pad. The only exception to this policy is service animals.

Clothing
Shirts, pants and footwear must be worn at all times. Failure to comply with policy may result in removal from the complex.

Folding Chairs
Folding Law Chairs are not permitted inside the Finley Center.

Inclement Weather
If inclement weather is nearby, the outdoor fields and Explore Playground and Splash Pad will be notified via PA system to clear the area. We ask that patrons monitor the weather and dress accordingly. 

RV/Campers
The Hoover Met Complex offers 170 pull-thru RV slots for rent that include electric, water and sewer hookups. Availability can be checked by calling the Finley Center Guest Services Front Desk at (205) 739-7364

Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

All parking is free for all events at the Hoover Met Complex.

We only accept debit/credit card payments. Cash is not accepted.
We do not allow drones to be flown on the complex or inside the Finley Center.
Trainers are on site for our events. We ask that if you need to have pregame wrapping, that you bring your own supplies.
All outdoor events, including the Explore Playground and Splash Pad, will stop play when lightning occurs within 8 miles of the complex. Play and activities will resume when there is not a lightning strike with 8 miles for at least 30 minutes.
The Hoover Met Complex does offer free guest WiFi. Depending on events and spectators, Wifi could be slower.

Outdoor Field Questions

We only allow rubber molded cleats and/or tennis shoes on our turf fields.
We do not allow seeds or gum on athletic fields.
Tents can be set up in the grass areas around the fields. Tents are allowed on turf but cannot be staked down.
Heaters cannot be within 20 feet of the synthetic turf and cannot be on the turf.
Yes, we do have ADA accessible restrooms.
Yes, concessions will be sold for events/tournaments on the outdoor fields.
Yes, we have 10 total batting cages with 4 being covered.
Yes, all of our fields are equipped with LED lights.
Our multipurpose fields are available for open play Monday-Thursday 7:30a – 3:30pm. Our baseball fields are available by reservations only.

Finley Center Questions

No, we do not allow outside chairs to come in.
Concessions will be open during booked event/tournament hours.
No outside coolers can be brought in to the Finley Center.
Only service animals are allowed to come into the Finley Center.

A little less than 5 laps equals a mile around the track!
Yes, we have two showers in each men and women restroom on the hallway side of the Finley Center.
Yes, we have lockers located in the hallway outside of the restrooms and inside the womens restroom. You will need to bring your own lock.
